'Fair Go for People With a Disability'

The Lobby Group

In 2008 a group of spirited people with a disability together with Disability South West Inc. established the ‘Fair go for People with a Disability Lobby Group’. The lobby group was established to work to improve services, rights and a voice for people with a disability in our community.

Recently the group has been meeting monthly and has responded to such enquiries as the commonwealth ‘Pension Review’ and the ‘National Disability Strategy’ to mention a few.

The group is always looking for new members to join to lobby for better services for people with a disability as well as a stronger voice to government.

The difference with this lobby group is that we tackle real issues of people with a disability and we focus on the person with a disability. There are other groups that look after carers or particular disability needs, The Lobby Group is for all people with a disability.
